Murray league

Barooga’s B-grade and C-reserve teams narrowly took out wins against Congupna on the weekend in the Murray Netball League.

The B-grade girls won 30-28 and C-reserve 28-25, and A-grade lost a hotly contested match, 41-39, while C-grade struggled against their opponents, losing 41-18.

Cobram’s A- and B-grade sides found the going tough against the Deni Rams, losing 52-31 and 37-24 respectively.

C-grade took out the honours, defeating Deni by seven goals, but C-reserve lost by six.

Picola league

In the north-west division, Yarroweyah lost to Tocumwal in B-grade 32-27, but took the honours in C-grade 43-32 and lost to the Bloods in C-reserve, 28-25.

In the south-east competition, Katamatite had a tough day on the courts, losing to Tungamah 59-30 in the A-grade match, going down 52-22 in B-grade and 42-26 in C-grade and 41-26 in C-reserve.
