●Police are investigating the theft of a 6x7 lime green trailer on Wednesday, July 19. It was taken from a rural property in Koonoomoo.
During the early hours of July 20, thieves broke into two vehicles belonging to a farming supplies and maintenance business on the Murray Valley Hwy.
They removed about $7000 worth of tools from the vehicles.
Police said both these thefts served as a reminder to have all items of value secured and the importance that CCTV is now playing in assisting the identification of offenders.
●Two collisions occurred along Cobram South Rd.
The first collision was at Healy Rd and no-one was injured when a truck carrying soil collided with a Holden Commodore.
The second collision was at the intersection of the Murray Valley Hwy on July 19, when a Mitsubishi Lancer collided with a Toyota Hilux.
The Lancer spun out of control and came to rest upside down in an empty irrigation channel.
As a result a female was airlifted to Melbourne for treatment of her injuries.
●On Monday, July 24 police executed a drugs, poisons and controlled substances warrant seizing cannabis and cash.
A Yarroweyah man will be summonsed to appear before Cobram Magistrates’ Court.
●A man was charged with drink driving on Saturday night in Cobram.
Police intercepted the man driving in Cobram Regional Park with a blood alcohol level of 0.113. He will be summonsed to appear at Cobram Magistrates’ Court.
An elderly woman was killed after the vehicle she was a passenger in lost control and collided with a tree along the Murray Valley Hwy at Kotpuna on July 18.
The driver also suffered injuries and was admitted to Goulburn Valley Base Hospital in Shepparton.
Police are preparing a report for the coroner and Cobram Highway Patrol officers are investigating the cause of the collision.
●Police are investigating several thefts that are believed to be linked.
The car wash was broken into once and attempted again later in the week. Two vehicles were broken into having tools and stereo equipment taken.
●Police executed a drugs, poisons and controlled substances search warrant on a Yarrawonga property, seizing several mature cannabis plants.
The offender will be summonsed to appear before Cobram Magistrates’ Court.
●Police across Moira Shire attended several family violence incidents during the week.
