Supporters enjoyed a solid 3-0 win from the under-12 Black team this week.
We knew the opposition would come out hard after our last meeting and they set up very defensively, but we stood our ground and didn’t give in. The boys remained composed, created plenty of scoring opportunities throughout the match, and found ways to break through despite the defensive setup. A well‑earned result for the group.

The Cobram Roar under-13 Boys have continued their impressive unbeaten season, securing a 4-2 victory in a challenging contest over the weekend.
Roar showed great resilience and teamwork throughout the match. The players worked tirelessly for one another, moving the ball well and creating plenty of opportunities going forward.
Cobram’s attacking play was rewarded with four goals, while their defensive effort helped withstand periods of pressure from their opponents. Every player contributed to the result, with strong communication and teamwork.
The win keeps Cobram Roar’s unbeaten record intact and maintains the momentum of what has been an outstanding season so far. With confidence growing each week, the team continues to demonstrate why they are one of the competition’s strongest sides.

Cobram Roar FC Under 14 Girls 8-0 Melrose FC Under 14 Girls
Cobram Roar under-14 Girls took on Melrose FC this weekend and, after a steady opening period, quickly found their rhythm and took control of the match.
Matoaka Kemper opened the scoring and set the tone for the day with two first-half goals. Alexis Stewart was outstanding in attack, finding the back of the net four times, while Indi Hemingway and Mia Hayward each added a goal to complete an impressive 8-0 victory.
The girls delivered a dominant performance across the park, controlling possession and shutting down every attacking opportunity from Melrose FC. The defensive unit worked tirelessly to keep a clean sheet, with Rose Wiles putting in a sensational performance in goals whenever called upon.
A fantastic team effort from start to finish, with the girls showing great teamwork, determination, and composure throughout the match. Well done, Roar!
Cobram Roar FC Under 16 Boys 3-1 Melrose FC Under 16 Boys
Cobram Roar FC's under-16 Boys returned to the winners' list at the weekend with a deserved 3-1 victory over Melrose FC, securing their first win in three weeks.
The Roar made a bright start and opened the scoring through Knox Leonard, who finished confidently after receiving a well-weighted ball from Holli Cameron. The early goal settled the home side and gave them the momentum they needed.
Leonard doubled the advantage not long afterwards, showing great awareness to react quickest to a follow-up ball and slot home his second goal of the match. His clinical finishing gave Cobram Roar a commanding lead heading into the break.
Melrose FC responded in the second half, but the Roar remained composed and continued to create opportunities. The result was put beyond doubt when Bosco Su found the back of the net with Cobram's third goal, capping off a strong team performance.
The victory was especially pleasing for the Roar, ending a three-week wait for a win and rewarding the hard work the players have continued to put in during recent weeks.
This week's Players' Award was presented to Holli Cameron, whose excellent work rate, creativity and important assist helped drive the team forward throughout the match.
The Roar will look to build on this performance as they carry renewed confidence into their next fixture.

Cobram Roar Division 2 Women produced a determined and hard-fought performance to secure an impressive 4-0 win over Melrose on the weekend.
Despite the convincing score line, the contest was fiercely contested throughout, with Roar showing resilience, commitment and teamwork from the opening whistle to the final minutes.
Cobram took control in the first half through Laura Moras, who opened the scoring before Holli Cameron added two goals to give Roar a commanding 3-0 lead at the break.
Melrose continued to battle hard in the second half, but Cobram remained focused and disciplined across the field. Maddi Simpson put the finishing touch on an outstanding team performance, scoring Roar's fourth goal to seal the victory.
Roar's determination never wavered, with every player contributing to a strong defensive effort and relentless pressure until the final whistle.

Cobram Roar FC Division 1 Men 1-4 Melrose FC Division 1 Men
Cobram Roar Division 1 Men were defeated 4-1 by Melrose at home, after trailing 2-0 at half-time.
The visitors controlled much of the opening half and took a two-goal advantage into the break. Cobram responded strongly after half-time when George Wiles earned and converted a penalty, reducing the deficit to 2-1 and giving the Roar hope of a comeback.
However, Melrose quickly restored their two-goal buffer with a third goal shortly afterwards before adding another later in the half to seal a 4-1 victory.
Despite the result, there was still some reason to celebrate in the clubrooms, with many supporters enjoying the Socceroos' 2-0 win over Turkey.
