We’re looking back a few weeks in this week’s column, to when one of the most cherished community traditions was held in Coly.
The St Peter’s Catholic Debutante Ball was held on May 30, at the Coleambally Community Club, with eight local couples presented in front of family, friends and special guests.
The group photo finally became available this week, and we just had to share.
Couples taking part were Isabelle Star and Damon Pound, Amber McGown and Riley Perkins, Tayla Demamiel and Fletcher Kelly, Hayley Pound and Chaise Davie, Millar McGown and William D’Aquino, Ashlee Ballato and Hayden Pound, Jessie Pound and Alex Pound and Lisa Strachan and Nathan Vearing.
Peyton Hopwood was the flower girl, and the page boys were William Health, Henry Clark, Jimmy Hardy, Shivansh Sharma and Gerno Van Niekerk.
The official party included Fr Thomas Brancik, matron of the ball Helen Kelly, Murrumbidgee Mayor Ruth McRae OAM, ball coordinator Bill Morton and ball director Jessica Groves.
