Barooga Sports

Trade day this past week was at Cobram.

Practice results will be published in the Cobram Bowls Club news.

There were 36 teams participating at Cobram and this week’ event at Finley RS is full so as can be seen it is a popular event.

Keith’s Friday had 36 bowlers enjoy a pleasant day bowling with the winners Bruce Carlyon and Heather Crosthwaite scoring +13 with Lance Jenkins and Bob Bamford on +9 close behind.

Helen Quin and Gerald Rothe had +8 to win the best first game and Liz Ewing and Geoff Brentnall with +12 winning the best second game.

The jackpot did not go off and is worth over $160 this week so it is building up again, make sure your name is down to play this Friday to have a chance of winning a bit of pocket money.

The club played a practice match against Shepparton East on Saturday and like the one played the week before against Hill Top it was played in good spirits and gave us a good workout in preparation for the pennant season ahead.

For the record Barooga lost against Hill Top but won against Shepparton East.
