In football, Katamatite got things done against Tocumwal, producing a strong 12.14 (86) to 7.7 (49) victory.
The game was in the balance at half-time with Tocumwal up by three, however a strong second half helped the Tigers take it out.
Among Katamatite’s best on the day were Patrick Riodan, Ben Bray, Nichol Clurey, Jake Smith, Daniel Parnell and Aram Aldridge, with Bradley Parnell and Luke Riordan scoring three goals each.
The result was a big one for Katamatite with the side bouncing back from a low-scoring loss to Picola United.
In Deni, Strathmerton returned to the winners list, downing Deni Rovers by 17 points.
The 11.10 (76) to 14.9 (93) win was a good one for the Bulldogs, with Jake Ellery, Matthew Ryan, Darcy Robinson, Simon Russell and Josh Payne all contributing to the performance.
In the netball, Katamatite produced a convincing 63-to-29 win against Tocumwal at home, while Strathmerton also picked up the points with a 25-goal win to the Deni Rovers.
In the B-grade netball, Yarroweyah went down to Rennie by one goal in a thriller, while the club’s football reserves team suffered a 29-point loss to Rennie.
