The women’s side shut out the competition newcomers, while the girls squad also had a comfortable win.
The evening opened with the youth girls game, an unfamiliar 6.30pm start time adding the variable of playing under lights to the equation.
The Mowers took quick control of the match, and while the Swans made a couple of successful raids into Moama territory, the defending premier had too much quality, sending through 8.9 (57), well clear of Shepp’s 2.1 (13).
Ruby Reardon starred in attack, kicking four of the Mowers’ goals, while Eliza Leeds, Ruby McLeod, Sophie Millar and Chloe Ryan also got on the scoreboard.
Moama is well on top of the league, a perfect 5-0 and with an incredible percentage of 675.
The women’s game followed at 8pm, and Moama wasted no time rolling through the Swans in their debut season in the senior league.
Seven goals were kicked in the opening term to establish early dominance.
Shepparton barely had a sniff around the Mowers’ 50, failing to get on the scoreboard throughout the game.
Moama piled on more goals over the course of the evening, finishing 16.14 (110) to 0 winners.
Olivia Dewar slotted four majors, while Lily Hillman, Tori Russell and Katie Shannon kicked two each.
Moama (5-1) remains in second spot, trailing leader and reigning premier Shepparton United.
The Mowers’ next round features another Friday evening double, this time at home at Moama Recreation Reserve against Nathalia.
The youth girls will again get under way at 6.30pm, followed by the women’s clash at 8pm.
