Jai Ezard: The golden boot of the team has hit form at exactly the right time of year. An uncompromising defender with the ability to read the game and get creative from the back half. Jai has grown into one of the league’s premier defenders and gives us the perfect balance of defence and attack.
Rivva Karpany-Sansbury: Class. Reads the game two plays ahead of everyone else on the ground. Has the versatility to run and create off half-back, use the ball at an elite level through the middle and be genuinely damaging as a forward.
Alex Hay: The coach who is simply proud to be coaching such a wonderful and hard-working group. Hungry for some success to reward the enormous amount of effort this team has put in over a number of years.
Jackson Muldoon-Leetham: A newfound lease on life at CHB, where he has become an absolute weapon. Lightning closing speed, then reads the game well enough to create offensively once he wins it back. An elite left foot that can do maximum damage — and he will often run towards an opponent simply for the opportunity to fend them off.
Logan Ives: The clearance king. His footy IQ is exceptional, his first touch is ridiculously clean and he has the ability to release teammates into space like no other. His form is reward for the work he has put in, and he is playing his best football at exactly the right time of year. Logan will have a big say in how things unfold come finals time.
Nick Hay: Run, carry and the ultimate team man. Nick has the uncanny ability to win contests where he is outnumbered and somehow turn them into scoring opportunities. A beautiful ball user who gives every ounce of what he has whenever he steps onto the field.
Jayden Pitts: Great game sense, vice-like hands and a cannon for a right foot. His leadership and experience provide enormous value on field, and his presence has helped make the team more structured, organised and composed.
Tyson Willis: Watching Tyson play football is comparable to watching a wedge-tailed eagle in full flight. Effortless beauty combined with destructive power that can put a game out of reach in the blink of an eye. Come to the game just to watch him.
Hayden Barker: The skipper has absolutely wound back the clock and is playing some brutally destructive football. No fuss — this guy marks the ball, often with three opponents trying to pull him down, then goes back and kicks the goal. Leadership, strength and guidance personified.
Brad Taylor: Never flustered. Even in the most chaotic situations, Brad makes the right decision and uses the ball beautifully on both sides of his body. His composure allows everyone around him to simply play their role.
Rowan Frazer: Mr Reliable. Often one of the first picked because there is no one better at playing their role and sticking to the team structure. Never goes outside what is required, rarely makes a mistake and brings one thing in absolute abundance — pressure!
Andrew Simpson: Simmo plays with a controlled aggression and hunger for the contest that lifts everyone around him. A great protector and teammate who leaves absolutely nothing in the tank. His physicality and competitiveness have been a huge part of our improvement through the midfield.
Connor Didcock: The Slight Delight plays football like Inspector Gadget. Unassuming, but his ability to somehow get a fist on the ball in a contest is uncanny. One of the great improvers throughout the year, Connor has developed into a key pillar of the team’s defence.
Isaac Beshman: The boy wonder. Beesh has stepped up from the thirds and quickly established himself as a consistent and damaging senior footballer. Tough, quick and excellent in the air, he has the attributes to change a game and an enormous future ahead of him.
Ethan Connolly: Another product of our current thirds crop who has transitioned flawlessly into senior football. Versatile and tough, Etho runs in straight lines and goes shoulder-first into every contest. An underrated ball user with the ability to shut down dangerous forwards, he has a huge future in senior football.
Brody Wills: You would struggle to find a more popular senior footballer. Not only a heartthrob for those watching from the sidelines, Brodes is an extremely hard worker with exceptional football craft and an ability to see things others can’t. Beautiful foot skills, strong hands and cat-like at ground level.
Cameron Wills: The Rolls-Royce. Cam exits congestion like everyone around him is stuck in quicksand. One of those rare players who seems to make time stand still. He kicks the ball like a surgeon and is developing into one of the finest young leaders this club has seen. He embodies the blue and white.
Waylon Johncock: Silk. Do we need to say any more? You won’t find another player who runs harder or uses the ball as well as Waylon. Beyond his own football, his willingness to share his experience and knowledge has helped everyone around him reach their potential. A rare gift.
Bobby Hall: Contest, contest, contest. To simply say Bobby gives you everything doesn’t do him justice. Often used as an undersized ruckman, he competes like no one you’ve seen before. He can play down back, provide something forward of the ball and impact through the middle. His versatility is an absolute luxury.
Harry Mcilwain: When you need a job done, you send Haz Mac. Extremely adaptable, having played nearly every position on the ground at different stages throughout the year. A no-fuss operator who simply gets it done. Cool, calm and collected, he rarely makes a mistake — and you just feel better having him around.
Dannon Leetham: Super Sub. Coming in from the under-17s, Dannon has the game sense and ability to read the ball of a seasoned veteran. Already a proven goal kicker with natural football instincts and an extremely bright future ahead of him.
Tom Ives: Super Sub. Another coming through from the under-17s, Tom’s versatility allows him to play almost anywhere on the ground. His confidence has grown with every senior game he has played, and he looks destined to become an excellent senior footballer.
