Cobram Roar FC under-12 Boys (Black) 5-2 Albury United
Cobram Roar Black under-12 boys overcame a slow start to secure a strong 5-2 win over Albury United. With limited early momentum, Cobram found itself trailing after Albury struck first.
However, a crucial equaliser just before half time shifted the energy of the game. Cobram came out firing in the second half, showing renewed intensity and teamwork. In a stunning burst, the side scored three goals within two minutes, taking full control of the match.
The team’s continued pressure and attacking play sealed the result, finishing with five goals overall. It was a determined comeback highlighting resilience, quick transitions, and a dominant second-half performance from Cobram Roar.
Cobram Roar FC under-12 Boys (Yellow) 8 - 0 Albury Hotspurs
Cobram Roar Under 12 Yellow Boys delivered a commanding performance on the weekend, defeating Albury Hotspurs SC 8-0 in a one-sided contest built on relentless attack and rock-solid defence.
Led by captain Billy Daniel, the Roar set the tone early with sharp communication and intensity from the opening whistle. Despite a string of early chances, the Hotspurs goalkeeper worked tirelessly to keep the score line respectable in the opening stages, denying Cobram with a series of impressive saves.
The breakthrough eventually came, and Cobram surged ahead to take a 4-0 lead into half time. Frankie Lean led the charge with two goals, while Wallace Hargrave and Jackson Hall each added one to cap off a dominant first half display.
At the back, Cobram’s defence proved impenetrable, with Chanel Finai, Kai Ramsdale, and Amir Mohamed forming a formidable wall. Ramsdale’s physical presence stood out, consistently shutting down attacking threats, while Mohamed added flair to his game, producing dazzling footwork that had spectators in awe as he weaved through multiple opponents, unlucky not to find the back of the net.
The second half continued in much the same fashion. A pinpoint left-foot cross from Lean found Francois Carstens at the perfect moment to open the scoring after the break. Cooper Daniel then stepped up with two well-taken goals, showcasing his attacking instincts.
Not to be outdone, captain Billy Daniel capped off the performance in spectacular style, finishing with a brilliant bicycle kick to seal the emphatic 8-0 victory.
It was a complete team performance from Cobram Roar, combining disciplined defence, creative midfield play, and clinical finishing in front of goal.
Cobram Roar under-14 Boys 12-0 Albury United
The Cobram Roar under-14 boys produced a stunning display of teamwork and attacking football on the weekend, overwhelming Albury United with a commanding 12-0 victory.
From the opening whistle, Roar set the tone with sharp passing, relentless pressure, and cohesive movement across the pitch. Their ability to link up play and find space proved too much for Albury United, as the goals began to flow early and never slowed.
What stood out most in the performance was the Roar’s commitment to team football. Rather than relying on individual brilliance, the side worked seamlessly as a unit - building from the back, controlling the midfield, and finishing clinically in front of goal.
Multiple players contributed to the scoreboard, highlighting the squad’s depth and unselfish style of play.
Defensively, Cobram was just as impressive. The backline remained organised and disciplined throughout the match, limiting Albury United to very few opportunities and ensuring the clean sheet was never in doubt.
Coaches and supporters alike praised the team’s focus and sportsmanship, noting that despite the one-sided score line, the Roar maintained their structure and intensity until the final whistle.
The result marks a significant boost in confidence for the young side as they continue their season, showcasing not only their technical ability but also the power of playing as a true team.

Cobram Roar FC Reserves Men 0-2 Albury United Reserves Men
A makeshift Reserves Men’s team team fought valiantly against a strong Albury United outfit, with a number of younger players growing into the game and going toe-to-toe throughout the game.
At 15 years of age, Mattias Burns worked tirelessly in defence alongside the more ‘experienced’ players, of captain Michael Davies, Albert Zito and Alfonso Santoro, with his debut doing wonders for his confidence, no doubt.
A goal either side of half time for the home side did not dent Cobram’s enthusiasm. Were it not for some excellent saves from the home ‘keeper, the score line could (and potentially should) have looked a lot different.
Cobram’s team spirit remained high throughout the match, in what was a very good game to watch for the spectators on the day.
Cobram Roar FC Senior Men 4-2 Albury United Senior Men
Cobram Roar produced a stirring second-half comeback on the road, defeating Albury United 4-2 after trailing by two goals at the break.
It was a slow start from the Roar, who struggled to find their rhythm early and went into half time down 2-0. Missed opportunities in the first half proved costly, with the side unable to capitalise on their chances in front of goal.
At the break, coach Billy Marshall made a key tactical move to add more firepower up front. The change proved decisive.
The adjustment had an immediate impact, with Roar surging back into the contest. Once the first goal hit the back of the net, the momentum clearly shifted, with Cobram regaining control and confidence.
From there, Roar took over, piling on the pressure and ultimately running away with a convincing 4-2 victory. The defensive unit also stood tall in the second half, shutting down Albury United’s attack and providing a solid platform for the comeback.
The result sees Cobram Roar remain undefeated and continue to build strong momentum as the season rolls on.
