Barooga fans rejoiced at the weekend as their team secured a convincing victory over Echuca United.

However, the win was never assured.
Playing as the away team, Barooga started the first quarter slowly, trailing the home team by 10 points, 18-8, at the first change.
In the second quarter, Barooga still couldn't take the lead, with the 10-point buffer remaining at half-time.
However, the second half was a complete turnaround for Barooga, as the side stepped up their game and set sail on a serious comeback.

The end of the third quarter saw Barooga take the lead by 17 points, 56-39, with the side dominating the field of play. It showed on the final scorecard, with Barooga finishing victorious, 90-59.
Barooga’s goal-kickers were Brodey Rudd, Joe Lindrea, Charlie Ingham, Charlie McGaw and Lachlan Skyes with each player kicking three goals, while the side’s best were Angus Cameron, Thomas Barker, Kris Bextream, Riley Gow, Callum Leighton Daly and Joe Lindrea.
Meanwhile, Echuca’s best were Ryan Stobaus, Matthew Harris, Brady Simpson, Reece Sidebottom, Nash Ramage and Riley Godfrey.
Barooga sits 10th on the ladder while Echuca United sits 12th.
In the Northern Country Women's League, the Barooga Senior Women's team also claimed victory over Tatura.
Tatura took the early lead in the first quarter before Barooga fought back, with the first half ending in the latter’s favour 12-9.
The second half saw Barooga power ahead, finishing the third quarter 10 points ahead of their rivals, 25-15, before the game finished with Barooga in a comfortable lead, 26-18.
Barooga’s best players were Emily Nolan, Maree Stephenson, Lillian Dunn, Sasha Parish, Angelina Watt-Fotia and Miliana Naicori.
