With no social bowls on Tuesday it was all about Saturday at Club Corowa Bowls Club.

Social Bowls Tuesday was not played due to inclement weather, however, five bowlers played socially and enjoyed fellowship within Club Corowa.
The ladies were up and about at Club Corowa Bowls Cub for Open Saturday Jackpot Pairs.

The Pairs and Triples saw 25 bowlers compete, and the Jackpot was not drawn; the prize pool stands at $254 plus next weekend's green fee.

Federation Men's Triples sponsored by Club Corowa is filled but keep checking the notice boards or social media for any vacant positions that become available.

The Mixed Pairs Consistency Tournament took place on Saturday and Sunday in perfect weather, with 40 teams competing from Victoria and New South Wales.
Players were very complimentary on the way the tournament was run so smoothly; a big thank you to Col Hendren and the match committee for their organisation, and to Judy and the kitchen helpers who provided morning tea and lunch each day.
Thanks also go to Ian and the Bar staff, greens staff, helpers and other members of the club who helped over the weekend thank you.

Wednesday Social bowls had 20 players taking part, and the club welcomes all visitors who make the trip to play.
Winners were Steve Rodway, Michele Shields and Eileen Ide, and runners-up were Ray Ager, Peter King, Frank Hicks and Peter Howell.
Two games of the Club Handicap Mixed Pairs took place with Terry and Michele Shields defeating Keith Evans and Ann Sadowski, and John Dalgleish and Annette Norman defeating Shane Rosenow and Maree Lewis.
Further games will take place this week.
The entry sheet is up on the notice board for the Men’s and Ladies Pairs; the first round is set to take place on Sunday 6th September.

Sunday’s winners on 15 and 15 (30) were Helen Bartel, Joe Carnivale, Jan Webber, and Gwen Mills, with the runners-up on 15 and 9 (24) being Joan Catlin, Bev Barron, Betty Clancy, and Kerry Whalley.
Tuesday’s winners on 17 and 17 (34) were Peter Manning, Helen Palmer, and Anne Smith, with runners-up on 16 and 15 (31) Sylvia Williamson, Marie Leary, and Angela Clapton.
Thursday’s winners on 16 and 17 (33) were Wendy Dunbar, Georgie Agnew, Helen Bartel, and Kerry Whalley, with runners-up on 18 and 9 (27) Helen Palmer, Anne Smith, Gwen Mills, and Gloria McCluskey.
