Rowan Farren-Parnell will continue on as chair for 2026-27, with Alex Wright joining as vice-chair and Kara Beggs taking on the role of secretary.
The committee acknowledged the contribution of outgoing secretary Barb Joyce, who served in the role during 2025-26.
The addition of a vice-chair is intended to expand the committee’s capacity to deliver projects and advocacy for the Mooroopna community.
With chair and vice-chair appointments underscore the committee’s focus on encouraging youth leadership.
The committee also noted that its membership has increasingly reflected the broader Mooroopna community over the past 12 months.
Mr Farren-Parnell said the leadership change coincided with the committee endorsing its community plan, which will be submitted to Greater Shepparton City Council.
“Alex, Kara and I, along with the rest of the committee will now begin the work of implementing our 2027-31 community plan, including sourcing grants, planning advocacy strategies and working with local community groups and businesses,” he said.
Ms Beggs is looking forward to the opportunity, welcoming her committee appointment as secretary.
“I am looking forward to learning more through the committee and helping to create more opportunities for people in our amazing community for future generations,” she said.
