There were reports of a crash involving people possibly trapped and vehicles on fire.
The incident was first reported about 12pm, with two Rural Fire Service trucks responding.
By 1pm, Fire and Rescue NSW, police and ambulance crews had arrived.
Back-up support has also been dispatched from multiple agencies in Deniliquin.
All occupants were able to exit the vehicle, while one person has been transported to hospital by helicopter. Others are being assessed at the scene.
Police have begun investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
It is believed a Berrigan Shire Council vehicle was involved.
Council officers are on-site and are working closely with authorities as the situation continues to evolve.

The Newell Hwy is closed between Silo and Tuppal Rds and people are urged to avoid the area, with traffic currently being diverted via Silo Rd.
