Tocumwal deputy unit commander Teresa Mantovani attended the awards night and said it was a proud moment to witness 15 fellow teammates receive the citation.
“Although being an SES volunteer is never about certificates or awards, this recognition is a well-deserved acknowledgement of those members who gave up their time and put their lives on hold to go and help others in their time of need,” she said.
“It’s an acknowledgment of the sacrifices the recipients made to serve not only our community, but other communities as well.
“It’s a true reflection of their dedication, teamwork, and tireless efforts during the flood operations.”
