Bacon and eggs rolls will be on the menu.
People can come to chat with SES members about the vital work they do in our community, and how you can assist by joining.
The friendly SES members will be at the kiosk from 8am.
Park rehearsal
After you’ve had your SES prepared breakfast, stick around in the CBD for some music later in the morning.
The Edward River Concert Band will rehearse live from the Waring Gardens rotunda from 10am.
It’s not often we get to hear the band outside of planned community events or ticketed concerts, so we encourage the community to take full advantage.
If you are interested in joining the band, email ercb.deniliquin@gmail.com for more information.
Link up over coffee
The next Deni Social Link catch up is tomorrow, from 10am at Harry Pepper Coffee in Deniliquin.
Hosted jointly by Intereach and Deni Social Link, the coffee mornings offer a relaxed and welcoming space for conversation and connection.
The sessions are usually held every fourth Saturday of the month, from 10am to 11am, at Harry Pepper Coffee.
Whether you’re new to town or a long‑time local, everyone is welcome to come along for friendly discussion, a free coffee and a sweet treat.
Photo mystery
The Deniliquin & District Historical Society is seeking help from the community to put names to an historic photo found in its archives.
The lovely wedding photo (pictured) was found in the back room on the Macauley St museum, with no identifying notes.
Members say it appears to be from the 1920s era, and may have been donated with other family photos but became separated.
If you can help them identify the people in this photo, please reach out to the Historical Society via their Facebook page, by emailing denihistorical@gmail.com or phoning 0428 359 297.

Murray River survey
PT readers in the Murray River Council footprint may soon receive a phone call to participate in a Community Satisfaction Survey.
The survey, undertaken every two years, aims to capture perceptions of council services, facilities and communication, while identifying emerging needs across the region.
An independent research agency, Taverner Research, will conduct the survey through phone interviews with randomly selected residents to ensure a broad and representative sample across different communities and demographics.
The survey period will run from May 25 to June 11.
Council said the survey will be conducted on an Australian number, and participants will not be asked for financial information, bank details or passwords.
If residents are unsure about the legitimacy of a call, they can contact council directly to verify the survey.
