Since opening in November 2023, FOOTT’s Benalla depot alone has processed more than 15 million eligible containers, with refunds going back to individuals, families, schools, clubs and community organisations across the region.
That success is echoed in its other three depots, including Cobram.
State Member for Euroa Annabelle Cleeland recently visited the Benalla depot to find out more.
She spent time working alongside its CDS team, getting hands-on experience processing returned containers and seeing first-hand what is involved in operating a busy regional depot.
FOOTT chief executive Andrew Yeoland said the visit was a great opportunity to showcase the capability FOOTT had developed through its involvement in the CDS.
“The scheme continues to go from strength to strength in regional Victoria, and we’re proud of the capability our team has built across depots, logistics and processing,” Mr Yeoland said.
“It was great to have Annabelle spend time working alongside our team and also have the opportunity to discuss the broader role FOOTT is playing in CDS Vic.”
Beyond its depot operations, FOOTT also provides logistics and processing services supporting CDS Vic across the region, including different collection methods across the network and the preparation of recovered materials for recycling.
