The total yarding of 3250 was down almost 4500 on last fortnight, and consisted of 2200 lambs.
Quality also declined with very few lines of well finished trade and heavy lambs available.
Not all the regular buyers attended and there wasn’t much keenness shown, with quality and number in a pen often factors behind the dull support.
Price results were often weaker than a fortnight ago, but need to be viewed alongside the limiting factors of quality and supply.
Heavy lambs sold to $178 with most of the better presented trade lambs from $138 to $158/head.
Light lambs to processors were generally $60 to $120 for the better lines.
The smallest lambs and odd lots were below $30 at times.
With just over 1000 sheep offered, the same issues played out around supply and buyers being able to purchase necessary numbers for transport.
Prices were cheaper than a fortnight ago with the majority of sheep from $50 to $90 per head.
