About 50 people attended the event, including Rotarians, family members, award nominees and their supporters.
The club’s presidential duties were shared throughout 2025 by Hans Zonneveldt, Doug Wright and Bill Tom.
During the evening, Mr Tom was announced as the club’s sole president for the coming year.
Mr Tom said the club had “ambitious plans” for the year ahead, including a number of community-focused events.
“We will be showing a film called Just A Farmer, which will be a community event focusing on the mental health of farmers,” he said.
“We’re also planning an event called Music on the Murray, which will have a band playing at Thompson’s Beach in November.”
Several awards were presented during the evening, recognising outstanding contributions to the community and local workplaces.
The Rotary Club of Cobram's Rotarian of the Year award was presented to Sally Ivone.
“Sally's an outstanding Rotarian,” Mr Tom said.
“She turns up and helps with everything, but more than that, she’s involved in planning and preparation for events and she actively imagines what the club can do and be.”
Mr Tom said he was looking forward to the year ahead and encouraged community members interested in service and volunteering to consider joining the club.
