A planning permit application has been lodged by company I Can Smell a Dead Duck Pty Ltd.
Moira Shire Council is assessing the application for a packaged liquor licence.
If approved, it would be the fifth liquor outlet in town.
“The company operates a number of packaged liquor licences across Victoria,” On Tap Liquor Consulting's Stephen Jerman said.
“Packaged liquor license businesses are always giving back to the community.”
The shop - which is planned for 10 Main St, Cobram - would provide jobs for local residents.
Any person who may be affected by the granting of the permit can object or make other submissions in writing and must include the reasons for the objection and how the objector will be affected.
To lodge a submission, contact Moira Shire Council's town planning department on 5871 9222.
