Early today the Department of Health and Human Services reported the Moira Shire's 12th ever recorded case, the only active case in the region.
This evening NCN Health confirmed the active case was from Cobram in a statement on Facebook.
"NCN Health can confirm a Cobram resident has tested positive to COVID-19," the post read.
"This person was tested at GV Health and is isolating.
"People who are identified as being close contacts to this person are also being asked to self-isolate."
The post said it was crucial to get tested for COVID-19 if you feel unwell.
"If you feel unwell with symptoms of COVID-19 even if they are very mild, it is important you get tested," teh post read
"Symptoms include; fever or chills, cough, sore throat, runny nose, loss of the sense of smell, loss of the sense of taste or fatigue/ tiredness for no identified reason.
"Once you are tested you must self-isolate in your home or accommodation while you wait for your results. This may take 3 – 5 days.
"Do not go to work, school or attend public places or events. If your symptoms get worse, you should contact your doctor, the hospital where you were tested, or in the case of emergency, 000."

The Moira Shire has recorded an active case of COVID-19 according to the Department of Health and Human Services.
It is the only active case in the shire and brings the total number of cases ever recorded in the region to 12.
The DHHS does not reveal the location of actives cases within the Local Government Area.
The residential location is recorded as the residential address provided when the case is notified but may not indicate where the case was infected or where they currently reside.
Last month two separate active cases were recorded in the Moira Shire and in both instances were later reclassified with the total number of cases ever in the region returning to 11.
The news comes as Victoria records 90 new cases of coronavirus.
The total number of active cases in the state is now at 2415 with 125 of those in regional LGAs under stage three restrictions.
