Leigh Hodgson has taken on the role of president from Lachlan McColl and Brennan Edgar and Damien Guthrie were instilled as secretary and treasurer respectively.
The dinner, at Cobram-Barooga Golf Club on Saturday, was a chance to look back at the service given to the Cobram and districts in the past year.
The club has clocked up 1265 hours of service, most of which went towards the annual Koonoomoo Pickers ‘n’ Packers Charity Ball and Cobram lawn mower races.
The funds raised from the events meant the club has been able to make significant financial contributions to groups, including Barooga Rural Fire Service ($6000), Cobram Primary School ($5000) and the Cobram cinema project ($25000).
Members Luke Rawson and Adrian Salter spoke about their trips to Wales and South Africa respectively as a part of international three-way link with clubs in those two countries.
Cobram-Barooga Apex Club will be hosting someone from Wales later this year.
Before handing over the reigns, Mr McColl presented Mr Edgar with the club’s service award and Adam McMullan with the Dedicated Dan (best clubman) award, with both men recognised for their significant roles in organising the Pickers ‘n’ Packers ball.
After his inaugural speech as president, Mr Hodgson formerly inducted Liam Gilmour into the club.
