People are encouraged to bring their own bicycles so they can learn about the basics of bike maintenance, bike safety and road rules.
The beautiful weather in recent months has helped, with people enjoying the sunshine and getting active on either two, three and, sometimes, four wheels.
PALS has had a great deal of interest, unfortunately many people did not have their own bikes, stopping them from taking part.
To help those without bikes, Barooga Sporties donated two new Malvern Star Cruisers (one with training wheels) as well as a trike, bike pump and three new helmets to help grow the program.
Being a little closer to the bike program than some, PALS business and services manager Paul Quinane recently completed his 321 Ride for Down Syndrome Awareness campaign.
Mr Quinane received enough enough funds to donated $2000 to Cobram and District Specialist School and donate a further three new Malvern Star bicycles to the program.
It is hoped those who join the PALS on Bikes program will use it as an introduction to riding and encourage them to buy a bike.PALS thanked Mr Quinane and Barooga Sporties for the support.
