Melissa leads D’Vine Ideas into new decade

After 15 years of co-ownership alongside sister Paula Latina, Melissa Crisafulli recently became the owner of Cobram business D’Vine Ideas which opened in 2004.

Mrs Latina is stepping away to family commitments, after recently having a baby, and wanting to enjoy some family time.

Mrs Crisafulli is elated at the prospect of leading the business forward in 2020 and thanked her sibling for joining her for the past decade and a half.

“Reflecting on our years in business it’s hard to believe it’s really been 15 years since we together opened the doors of D’Vine for that first day,” Mrs Crisafulli said.

“We are both proud super proud of what we have achieved throughout these years, whilst juggling the modern challenges of being a working mum and caring for our young families.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Paula for joining me on this venture back in 2004 and wish her all the very best.”

What started as a dream to provide Cobram with a boutique homewares/florist and gift shop has since grown to be one of the town’s mainstays.

Mrs Crisafulli has been overwhelmed at the support shown by Cobram’s community throughout the years and hopes to build on the already established relationship with locals.

“We could see from day one our store was so well received, but I don’t think we could have imagined the wonderful support that we would receive over the following decade and a half in business,” Mrs Crisafulli said.

“We’re so lucky to have gained wonderful friendships with so many of our customers along the way.

“Some are locals we see regularly, others live far away, but love coming into our store when in the area, it’s all of their support that has kept up around and going strong.”

Priding the business on offering a refreshing range and friendly service, D’Vine will no doubt continue to evolve under Mrs Crisafulli’s guidance.

“I look forward to continuing to stock many of our major brands that everyone knows and loves, whilst bringing in some new and exciting ranges - style and affordability will be key factors,” she said.

“I thank my husband and children for supporting me on this next chapter for our family - and thank everyone for their support, past, present and into the future.

“I can’t wait to bring many wonderful and exciting things to D’Vine Ideas in 2020 and into the future.”
