On 15th April 2026 at St Vincent’s Care, Kew, Victoria, Fr Michael Stoney SJ died peacefully, aged 90 years.
Michael was the loved eldest son of Eric and Florence (both deceased) and loved brother of Brian, Ian (both deceased) and David.
Respected and loved member of the Society of Jesus, which he joined in 1953.
Ordained Priest, St Patrick’s Cathedral, Melbourne, 14th December 1968.
Michael ministered in colleges and parishes, as well as in Jesuit formation, throughout his priestly and Jesuit life.
