Philip John
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Dr Philip John Eldridge. Born in London,
Phil arrived in Hobart in 1964 with his wife, Margaret, and baby daughter to lecture in Political Science.
Phil made significant contributions to UTas, Tasmanian Rugby,
Hobart Baptist and Claremont Uniting church, Hobart choirs, Hobart Dog Walking Association and other causes.
Phil was the loving husband of Inna and father and father-in-law of Sally and Mark,
Kathryn and David,
Chris and Ann and
Tim and Andrea.
He loved being Grandpa to Holly, Edward, Tom, Ben, Sarah, Aisha, William, Ella, Jack, Finn, and Caitlin.
Phil was also a devoted doggy Dad to Lulu.
He was loved by us all and will be missed.
