Dearly loved and devoted wife of Domenico

for 63 wonderful years.

Treasured mother and mother-in-law of

Pasquale, Pietro, Mario (all deceased),

Alessandra and Antonio, Antonio.

Cherished and adored Nonna of

Giovanni and Rosamaria, Julian and Charlotte,

and Bisnonna of Amalia and Siara.

Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by all her family and friends in Australia and overseas.

A loving and caring wife, mother and Nonna, who gave so much to her family. Her love, guidance, support and wisdom will be an endless source of inspiration for the rest of our days.

To my beautiful wife Rosa,

Words cannot explain the emptiness of void that I have. You were my soulmate. You were the light of my life for almost 64 years. A bond of togetherness in good times and in bad, together we accepted and handled it all. The memories we shared will remain forever with me and comfort me, every single day without you. I love you with all my heart and soul and honour the life we shared, even in the difficult times. You have left this world, but never my heart. I will always remember your goodness, your amazing faith in God and your forever smile.

Thank you for being my right hand and forever helping me with everything I needed. In the last few weeks I watched you suffer deeply and my heart ached for you.

I know you are now pain free and resting; so well deserved.

Dearest mum,

If I had to write a book about your life and give it a title, it would simply be called "Courage".

I cannot fathom how you stayed so strong despite all the hardships life brought you. Life in Australia was difficult for you, but your strength and faith in God and the love you had for your family shone through continuously, with your strength and your infectious smile. Thank you mamma for instilling in me the strength to go on, reminding me that life is not always a bed of roses, and at times heartaches; but then even times like this make us who we are. Stronger than ever knowing that there will always be sunshine after every storm. Thank you mamma for adoring your grandsons Giovanni and Julian as your own and I am forever grateful for instilling in them part of your culture that today they embrace. You accepted with your heart Rosamaria and Charlotte knowing they made your grandsons happy in life and for this you were overjoyed. The love you had for Amalia and Siara will never be forgotten. You adored your son-in-law Antonio to whom you were more than a mother-in-law, continuously proud of the hard work and achievements throughout the years to give our family the abundance we have today.

Thank you mum for the voracious sail you made from your beloved Italy to start a new life in Australia. We have been given the greatest gift of wealth from your continuous blood, sweat and tears and I will forever promise you your legacy will live on through us, your grandchildren and great-granddaughters.

My beautiful angel Nonna Rosa,

With a heavy, broken heart I write these words. I'm still in disbelief that we have to say goodbye to someone who meant so much to us. Nonna, I don't think words could ever explain how much you meant to me and how much I'm going to miss you. You were such an important part of my life. It hurts everyday knowing that I won't be able to hear your voice again or give you one last hug. Nonna, I'd just like to thank you and I'll be forever grateful for every memory, every conversation, every laugh and every moment shared. Your kind, beautiful smile would lighten up a dark room. The love you showed and the strength you showed us is something I'll carry with me forever. I'll forever be grateful for the times we had together, from all of the memories growing up as a kid, like having sleepovers when I would sleep on the table and you would hold me to make sure that I wouldn't fall off no matter how tired you were. The Sunday lunches together where we spent the next week wondering what Nonna would cook. The time we spent together in the vineyard, sweeping the shed and helping Nonno prune or pick grapes. Now as an adult, I brought my love Charlotte to you and you opened up your arms and welcomed her into your life, like she was your own granddaughter. You didn't remember much, but every time I would come to see you one of the first things you would always say is "how or where is your beautiful Charlotte?"

Nonna, now it is time for you to rest and be with your 3 beautiful boys in heaven. I will never forget you and always carry you in my heart forever.

Our hearts and world are broken, but we cannot be selfish, because we know now you've grown your wings and you have been reunited with your beautiful boys. Your door was always open to anyone and everyone. Your table was always full. Your beautiful smile lit up our whole world, but that smile of yours grew bigger when we saw you holding your great-granddaughters. We will always remember you Nonna as the most gentle, caring and loving person, despite what life threw at you. We're going to miss your famous Sunday lunches, your story time in the backyard, our coffee dates at your house and our family traditions of doing the sauce, sausages, olive oil and not to mention, our famous wine. We are forever grateful that God blessed us with a beautiful Nonna like you. We promise to look after Nonno for you.
