Passed away peacefully at Regis Norwood in Launceston Tasmania, after being cared by Leonard Colquhoun in Aged Care at Home after her diagnosis with dementia in 2018

Born in Paddington NSW and then taken back to Melbourne

Daughter of Freda Scott (died from TB 1948) and John Ivan Mackenzie (returned to NSW in 1943; dec’d)

Grand-daughter of William Chivers Scott and Emily Scott
Niece to Alva Scott, Dorothy Fraser (nee Scott) and Amy Jean Scott

Having been enrolled in MacRobertsons Girls High School by Dorothy Fraser, Margaret passed her Intermediate [~ Yr 10] examinations; from that date, Margaret continued to enrol in various learning entities to expand her knowledge and deepen her understanding

Wife to John William Shaw (dec’d)

Partner-for-life to Leonard from 1985

Mother of older son Jeffrey Dale Shaw (dec’d) and Grandmother to Blake
Great-grandmother to Jayce and Lacey

Mother of younger son Christopher David Shaw (dec’d), Grandmother to Marshall and Jessica,

Margaret expanded her field experience in 1962-1964 and 1969-1974 with three years as a makeup artist at the then ATV Channel 0 [now channel 10], five years as a general manager of a general store in Jarklin [just north of Bendigo] with a roles in the CFA and the CWA and three years as dairy farmer in western Victoria with John Shaw

A bibliophile and avid reader, and a member of The Folio Society

Distinguished actor and efficient backstager at the Doongalla Road Basin Theatre Melbourne

Honoured by several legal practitioners for the quality of her conveyancing work 1975-1999

Member of the Institute of Legal Executives [Victoria] 1990-2010

Elected as a member of the Council of the Institute 2000-2006

FELLOW of THE INSTITUTE OF LEGAL EXECUTIVES [VICTORIA] 1990-2006
