Moama product Lachie Schultz is set for a stint on the sidelines after sustaining an ankle injury playing for Collingwood in its narrow win over North Melbourne last week.

Schultz left the ground in the second quarter of the clash, with scans confirming that he had suffered a low-grade syndesmosis injury.
The small forward is expected to return in two to four weeks.
The Magpies will now likely be without a member of their leadership group for key clashes against Carlton, Adelaide and Geelong.
Schultz has had another solid season for Collingwood, currently averaging 14.4 disposals, 5.6 score involvements and 4.1 tackles per game.
Meanwhile, fellow Moama export Jobe Shanahan has been in excellent form for West Coast, being a multiple goal-kicker in three of the Eagles’ past four matches.
Shanahan booted three majors and took eight marks in a one-point loss to North Melbourne in round 14, before kicking three again, having 13 disposals, and laying four tackles in round 17 against Adelaide.

Last week, the forward kicked two majors and took five marks in a defeat to the Western Bulldogs.
Teammate Harley Reid has averaged 23.5 disposals, eight clearances, 5.3 inside 50s, and 6.8 score involvements per game over the past month.
Among all players in the competition, the Tongala product ranks equal-12th for clearances per game, ninth in contested possessions and eighth in ground ball gets.
Both players have been key in West Coast’s improved recent displays, the side 16th on the ladder with a 4-13 record, though it has only lost its past five matches by an average of 20 points.

Elsewhere, Echuca products Brodie Kemp and Ollie Wines have both had solid campaigns for Carlton and Port Adelaide, respectively.
Kemp has averaged 11.2 disposals, 5.1 marks, and 4.9 score involvements per game, and played in each one of the Blues’ seven straight wins from round 10 to 17.
Wines’ numbers have dipped from 2025, and he has recorded career lows in clearances, inside 50s, and contested possessions per game, though is still averaging 19.6 disposals and 4.1 tackles.
The 2021 Brownlow medallist is off-contract at season’s end, though Power coach Josh Carr is backing Wines if he decides to re-sign with the club.
“I love the attitude of Ollie,” Carr told reporters on July 2.
“And I have been having great discussions with him from six to eight weeks ago to right now.
“He is feeling really good about his body and his game and he really enjoyed, I guess, having that week off to refresh and have himself up and about.
“We’ll continue those discussions right through the year and if he’s feeling great at the end of the year then it will be an easy call.”
