Berrigan’s midweek pennant team played away at Cobram on Tuesday, with a solid 57–49 win.

Two rinks recorded victories. Glenys McKay skipped Elaine Hawkins and Clare Harvey to a resounding 24–9 shot win.
Gayle Reynoldson, Peter Finlayson and Mary Curtin fought hard but went down narrowly by two shots.
Saturday pennant teams had an early start to beat the heat, with Divisions 1 and 5 travelling to Wunghnu and Division 3 heading to Numurkah.
Division 1 faced a strong Wunghnu side and went down 37–72.
Division 3 also had a tough match, losing to Numurkah 48–63. Darron Fruend led his team of Paul McVicar, Hardy Rennick and David Fox to a narrow one-shot win.
Matt Hansen, Kelly Milich, Myles Humphries and Geoff Blake were equally competitive but lost by just one shot.
Division 5 also went down to Wunghnu, although Glenys McKay continued her winning form, leading Val Chisholm and Karen Davis to a four-shot win.
Pennant plays its final rounds this week, with all teams competing on home turf.
Barefoot bowls returns for Round 2 tonight at 6.15pm. It was great to see some new faces join the game. Missed last week? No problem — we can still accommodate new players and teams.

Division 2’s chance of playing finals hangs in the balance after losing to Barooga 57–74 with one game to go.
With B. Smith’s rink 16–21, G. Haines 22–29, and J. Finnerty 19–24.
Division 4 had a strong win against Numurkah 4, 72–46, and are secure in fourth with one game to play.
With B. Ferry’s rink 22–12, N. Barnes 23–20, and T. Scullar 27–14.
Club pairs was played on Sunday with a great crowd watching.
