Week one of the 2026 Murray Football Netball League post-season took place on Saturday, with three Tongala sides involved in elimination finals.

Reserves
Tongala was unable to join its first-grade side in winning its reserves elimination final, going down to Finley by a point in a thrilling encounter.
The Blues and Cats matched each other for much of the contest, with the lead changing hands several times over the four quarters.
Tongala was in pole position to progress when it goaled midway through the final term, leading 36-32.
Three minutes later Finley struck a devastating blow, hitting the front again and seeing out a 6.2 (38) to 5.7 (37) win.
Zac Oaff was in fine form for the Blues, kicking three goals, his performance also placing him on their best alongside James Meggitt, Leyton Webster, Kade Northausen, Todd Van Roy, and Sam Tyler.
Netball
Under-15
The Blues beat Mulwala 37-35, setting up a semi-final meeting with Echuca United after it defeated Nathalia 31-27.
Under-13
Moama proved far too strong for Tongala in their elimination final, winning 37-15.
This weekend
Week two of the finals series will see Tongala take on Moama in four grand final qualifiers in the netball lower grades.
The Blues’ B-grade, C-grade, C-reserve, and under-17 sides are all taking on the Magpies at Rumbalara Recreation Reserve on Saturday, September 5.
