Hanging in with an 11-point deficit at half-time, the Tigers mustered five goals in the second half, but the contest was taken out of their hands as the home side piled on 10.8 after the main break to record the win.

Interestingly enough, while the scoreboard indicates the Tigers were thoroughly outplayed in the second half, the stats seem to suggest they actually increased their numbers in multiple areas after coming out of the rooms at the main break.
The visitors managed to get their hands on the ball more, recording 107 disposals across quarters three and four, as opposed to just 91 touches in the first half.

They also managed to increase their efficiency with ball in hand, going at 62 per cent in the second half, up from 60.5 per cent in the first two quarters.
Rochy also upped its numbers in terms of contested possessions, winning 48 after half-time, slightly more than the 46 it won in the first half, while also winning 15 clearances compared to 13 before half-time.

There was an increased intensity around the ball too, with the Tigers’ overall pressure rating in the second half up to 75, a slight increase on the 71 to half-time, while their fourth quarter rating of 55 was the highest of either side throughout the match.
But despite the increases, Rochy was unable to match Shepparton, who was able to turn things up a notch.

The Bears were +42 in disposals in the fourth term, while also having five more clearances and 16 extra contested possessions, which they managed to convert to 4.3 (27) while keeping Rochester to just 1.2 (8) for the quarter.
