After a 24-year drought, the Murray Valley Cricket Association under-14s defeated their Goulburn Murray Cricket counterparts in the grand final of the Junior Cricket Week at Shepparton’s Deakin Reserve. Managing to defend their total of 143, the under-14s clinched the win by just nine runs.

Across the competition, the MVCA under-13s fell to Seymour by 46 runs, while Seymour proved too strong for the MVCA outfit in the under-15s. Shepparton defeated MVCA under-16s by 82, while the MVCA under-17s (9-107) came out on top of Seymour (104).

From the under-13s to under-17s, several key performances stuck out for the MVCA leadership team.
