If you happen to over-indulge in coming days, why not head to the golf club and enjoy a game, or work on your swing at the driving range.
While the clubhouse will only open its usual hours on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday over the break, the pro shop will be open each day except Christmas Day, with an honesty box for green fees if it is closed.
Stableford events will be played on competition days over the next week - Saturday, Tuesday (9 holes), Wednesday, Thursday and the following Saturday.
Last Thursday was stableford and, like most events in the past week you needed a good score to win.
Marg Menadue took the prize with 41 points from runner-up Jen Swainger 40.
On Saturday the A-grade winner was Barry Barlow with 40 points from runner-up Leigh Chappell 37; B-grade Ken Wemyss 41 from runner-up Ken Maher 40, and C-grade Ian Campbell 36 from runner-up Ann Bull 35.
On Wednesday there was a big field with three grades and the scoring was hot, with a 40+ needed to win your grade.
The A-grade winner was captain John Radeski with 41 points from runner-up Leigh Chappell 40; B-grade Ron Friend 40, r/u Will Bull 39; C grade Russell Begg 42, r/u John Metcalfe 37.
