It may be running for two days, but Cobram is comfortably in the lead after the first day of round 14 of the Murray Valley Cricket Association.
Playing against Finley and away from its home turf, Cobram is showing how it’s done with a score of 6-279 against Finley’s 10-50.
Cobram’s Adam Decicco is Cobram’s best batter so far, making 73 runs not out.
He is followed by Cobram’s top-order batter, Manuele Artavilla, who retired after making 55 runs.
Cobram’s Hunter Hardwidge made a respectable 38 runs before falling to Finley’s Cougar McGrath and Jonathon Cattell.
Cobram’s best bowler was Shaun Downie, who took four wickets.
He was followed by Lachlan Hyde with three wickets.
On the Finley side, Cougar McGrath was his side’s best batter, making 22 runs before falling to Cobram fielder Noah Sneddon and bowler Lachlan Hyde.
Finley’s best bowlers were Archibald Mason and Justin Crowley who took two wickets each.
Cobram currently sits fifth on the ladder while Finely remains last on the ladder with no wins for the season.
