The Ladies Minor Singles Championship was won by Susie Singleton; the runner-up was Lynne Bowler.
Scott Widdison won the Men's Minor Singles on Sunday, defeating Stuart McNeill in the final.
Ovens and Murray District Men's Novice Singles was played at Corowa on Sunday.
Jason Long was the club’s only representative this year.
He won his sectional play and plays again next weekend.
The final rounds of the Novice Singles will be played at Rutherglen on Sunday, October 11.

The Barooga Challenge was played at Barooga Bowls Club, with the host club winning for 2026.
The refurbished tiger turf greens and volunteer catering made for a great day of bowls.
The Bowls Management Committee provided the bus, with thanks to driver Dale Dyson.
Social Bowls Tuesday, September 29 was won by Jenny Lawrence, Janet Mills, and Andy Dickins 2W +7.
There is one Social Tuesday remaining, with Midweek Pennant commencing on Tuesday, October 13; Social Tuesday will recommence in December.
Australian Para Nationals 2026
Congratulations to Chris Randell who was selected to play in the Nationals in Perth.
Chris is currently playing at the North Beach Bowls Club Perth, Western Australia.
Chris is playing Pairs and Triples and possibly the Singles event.
The club wishes Chris and Sussan well on their trip and good bowling to Chris.
Coaching with Chris Cooney is held each Wednesday afternoon from 4.30pm, and Pennant practice is on Thursday afternoons from 4pm.

New uniforms
The new look Club Corowa Bowls Club uniforms have arrived and have been distributed to members.
Remaining uniforms can be collected on Thursday.
All members are asked to wear the new uniform to Pennant practice on Thursday, October 8 for a club photo.
Jenny Lawrence and Geoff must be congratulated on the amount of effort and time spent on ordering and distributing of the uniforms, a massive undertaking; thank you.
Corowa Civic Bowls Club
On Wednesday, 24 players took part in social bowls; a lovely and sunny day welcomed visitor Gerard Greaney from Gladstone Park and local Alan Jones.
Winners were Ian Lewis, Annette Norman and Frank Hicks with 2 Wins + 33 and runners-up were John Dalgleish, Ned Young and Ann Sadowski with 2 Wins + 31.
On Saturday the club had a practice match among players; the best winning rink was Steve Rodway, Frank Hicks and Roseanne Prentice.
Recent club events
Pam Tobias and Lynette Turner defeated Caroline Lewis and Eileen Ide in the Ladies Pairs.
In the Men’s Pairs, Ian Lewis and Clint Snow defeated Peter King and Mark Smith.
Frank Hicks and Keith Evens defeated Brendan Leech and John Dalgleish.
Guy Rowe and Gary Patterson defeated Col Hendren and Steve Rodway.
Shane Rosenow and Terry Shields defeated Ian Bilney and Tony Larkin.
In the next round, Paul Hickey and Ray Ager defeated Frank Hicks and Keith Evans.
The draw for the next club event, Mixed Pairs, is on the noticeboard in the clubrooms.
Weekend Pennant gets under way this Saturday, with A2 travelling to Mansfield, B2 on a bye, and B5 hosting Wangaratta.
Midweek Pennant starts next Tuesday, October 13th.
A2 will be home to YMGCR, B1 travel to Club Mulwala and B2 are home to Yarrawonga.
On Sunday, the Ovens and Murray Men’s Novice Singles were played at Club Corowa.
Corowa Civic had two players who took part in this event, Clint Snow and Tony Larkin, with both playing well and winning both their games and progressing to the quarter finals.
Clint defeated Greg Lambeth from Wodonga Bowling Club 21 – 6 in his first game, and in the second game defeated Adam Forbes from Chiltern Bowling Club 21 – 10.
Tony defeated Zoltan Suli from Rutherglen Bowling Club 21 – 9 first up, then defeated Francis Argus from Yarrawonga Bowling Club 21 – 11 in his next game.
On Thursday, October 8 there will be a working bee at the club starting at 10am.
There will be pennant training in the afternoon at 4.30pm followed by dinner and a pennant meeting.
Corowa Indoor Carpet Bowls
Sunday’s winners on 17 and 18 (35) were Gloria McCluskey and Peter Manning, runners-up on17 and 16 (33) were Bev Barron and Greg Williamson.
Tuesday winners on 16 and 18 (34) were Jan Webber, Wendy Dunbar, Bev Barron, and Gloria McCluskey, with the runners-up on 4 and 15 (19) the team of Helen Palmer, Peter Manning, Glenda Willett, and Joan Fletcher.
Thursday saw a win of 16 and 16 (32) for Pauline Withers, Georgie Agnew, Margaret Watson, and Gloria McCluskey, with the runners-up on 4 and 16 (20) being the team of Marie Leary, Wendy Dunbar, Naz Carnivale, and Merylyn Milthorpe.
