Open Saturday Jackpot Pairs and Triples
Pairs and Triples on Saturday saw 26 bowlers compete, with the Jackpot remaining undrawn.
The Jackpot stands at $160 plus next week's allocated green fee.
Match chair Jenny Lawrence reports that card 13 has been drawn four out of five weeks.
Greens chair Ken Widdison will be organising Saturday Jackpot Bowls on August 15 in the absence of the Match Committee.
Members will play in the Mixed Pairs Tournament this weekend at Corowa Civic Bowls Club.
Bowls Victoria Para State Squad
Chris Randell will commence his State Side Series vs NSW at Deer Park Bowls Club on Sunday, August 16-18.
Chris is a debut player and will be presented with his Bowls Victoria cap in a ceremony before commencement of play.
Club Corowa Bowls Club and Club Corowa support and congratulates Chris on his achievement.
Match Committee and General Committee
Club Corowa Bowls Club Open Day is scheduled for Saturday, September 19.
The Match Committee have printed and posted the Bowls Championship dates for 2026-27.
Entry sheets are hanging in the clubhouse inside corridor opposite the Match Committee door.
Please check these sheets and nominate your intention to enter.
Ovens and Murray District Pennant 2026-27
The district published the Weekend and Midweek Pennant commencement dates on their Facebook page last week.
Weekend Pennant commences on Saturday October 10, and Midweek Pennant commences Tuesday October 13.
Corowa Civic Bowls Club
A fine Wednesday afternoon with little cloud cover saw 20 players competing.
Winners were Frank Hicks and Pedro Robertson with runners-up Guy Rowe, Bruce Corcoran and Lynette Turner.
Saturday social bowls brought a beautiful, sunny day, very spring like and with a good turnout of members and visitors.
Winners on the day were Michael Bryan, Frank Hicks and Ann Sadowski, with runners-up Lance Davis, Glenice Campbell and Lynette Turner.
It is always great to see many visitors to our club taking part in social each Wednesday and Saturday; a big welcome to all.
The Mixed Pairs Consistency Tournament takes place this weekend, with good entries coming from near and far.
Come down to the Civic Centre over the weekend to see good bowls being played.
Don’t forget to come along to the Annual General Meeting at 5.30pm at Civic Centre club rooms on Tuesday, August 18.

Corowa Indoor Carpet Bowls Club
Our Sunday social winners on 11 and 16 (27) were Greg Williamson, Helen Bartel, Joe Carnivale, and Georgie Agnew, with runners-up Joan Fletcher Betty Clancy, Tony Coppolino, and Gwen Mills on 9 and 16 (25).
Tuesday saw a win on 17 and 18 (35) for Georgie Agnew, Joe Carnivale, Joan Catlin, and Gloria McCluskey, with runners-up on finishing on 18 and 16 (28) Merylyn Milthorpe, Anne Smith, Margaret Watson, and Greg Williamson.
Thursday’s winners on 14 and 15 (29) were Kerry Whalley, Margaret Watson, and Glenda Willett, with the runners-up on 6 and 18 (24) being Angela Clapton, Peter Manning, and Jan Webber.
