These were the words Joe Healy said to his parents, Catherine and Simon, after recording a two minute application and filling in an online form to apply to get an audition for the ABC TV show Hard Quiz Kids, hosted by Tom Gleeson.
But soon after they received an email from the team at Hard Quiz, inviting Joe to an audition in Sydney.
After an adventure involving a cancelled flight and a rushed drive to Sydney, Joe got to experience the ABC studios and auditioned for the show, telling the team all that he knew about his favourite singer, Lee Kernaghan.
Catherine later received a surprise email inviting Joe to be on an episode in the third season.
Joe was very excited until he realised that the recording date of July 31 was the same as the opening night of a Berrigan Amateur Dramatic Society production of The Wizard of Oz, in which Joe was playing Munchkin.
With permission to miss the first show, Joe and Catherine headed to the dressing rooms at the ABC Studios in Melbourne to get him ready for Hard Quiz Kids.
Filming a quiz show is a fairly daunting experience and his family were all very proud of how Joe held himself throughout the process.
The nerves were present and some of the questions were very tricky, but he enjoyed it all the same.
