Two Benalla groups recently came together for the benefit of the community.
After securing a quick response grant from council to upgrade its office, U3A Benalla got in touch with the Benalla Woodworkers Association, known locally as the Woodies.
The grant of $500 allowed U3A Benalla to hire the Woodies to upgrade its small office in the Benalla Seniors and Community Centre.
Shelving and a computer desk were manufactured and installed.
This improvement will allow U3A Benalla to better cope with its membership, which has increased from 250 to 465 members since it moved to the Seniors and Community Centre in 2017.
