The Dark Side of Wine festival kicks off this Friday night with the grand opening candlelight concert at All Saints Estate in Wahgunyah, featuring a live string quartet performing a program of Ed Sheerin and Coldplay reimagined by candlelight.
Running from August 7 to 16, the Winemakers of Rutherglen annual winter festival features exclusive dinners, tastings, cellar experiences and behind-the-scenes events across the region.
Every event offers a different experience, such as discovering a hidden cinema among muscat barrels, tasting back vintages that exist in no catalogue, or standing in a vineyard beneath the night sky for stargazing-by-wine.
Described as Rutherglen after dark by the Winemakers, with firelight and the smell of char and oak and something sweet and ancient, the Dark Side of Wine is the winner of Best Wine Themed Event at the Wine Communicators of Australia Awards.
Tickets are sold separately to each experience and are strictly limited; there is no waitlist.
Bookings can be made online via feverup.com.
