This month, Community River Arts Inc will be holding its first ever Artist Open Studio Trail, a groundbreaking project that will enable guests to visit the studio spaces in which local artists create their magic.
Community River Arts secretary-treasurer Fiona Hackett said the trail, inspired by the ‘open garden’ concept, offered a rare glimpse behind the curtain of an artist’s studio space.
“People get a better understanding of the artist and their world and space,” she said.
“That’s the driving factor, alongside an opportunity to meet them face to face, have a discussion with them, maybe even get a desire to join a club associated with that activity.”
The trail visits the studios of six local artists across Cobram-Barooga and Yarroweyah, including Tin & Mud, Wood & That, Krazy Birds, Expressive Art Creations, the Cobram Lions Art Exhibition and the Textile Hub in Yarroweyah.
