Sub-branch committee member Heather Hosie said the committee was trying to contact the relatives of the servicemen listed on the honour board for a rededication ceremony.
“We were cleaning up the back room of the Cobram Barooga sub-branch and we came across this Koonoomoo honour board,” she said.
“I don't know how long it's been there ... the Men's Shed repaired it for us, gave it a polish and we're going to put it up in the Yarroweyah Memorial Hall.”
The rededication of the honour board will be held at the hall on May 16, and Mrs Hosie said it was important to them that all the families were invited.
“The families that I have been able to contact are thrilled about it,” she said.
“I've had calls from Mackay in Queensland, Deniliquin and Melbourne.”
Mrs Hosie has been a member of the Cobram Barooga RSL for more than four years and said it was something that was close to her heart.
“My father served in World War II and my son served over in Timor,” she said.
