This next stage of the Hardinge St Road Reconstruction Project is being led by Transport for NSW, and is concentrated on the stretch between Harfleur and Wood Sts.
As well as road resurfacing, the work includes new paving, turning lanes and medians.
Work will take place for up to 22 hours six days a week, with no work scheduled for Sundays.
On other days, the day shift runs from 7am to 6pm and night shift from 7pm to 6am.
With the exception of Holden Crt, all intersections within the resurfacing area will be closed after business hours each night.
Lane closures, reduced speed limits and temporary detours and access changes will be in place, for vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists.
Alternate entries for Harvey Norman, Deniliquin Mitre 10 and the Hardinge St Shopping Complex remain in place.
All motorists are asked to follow the signs, and take additional care in low visibility periods. This includes the evenings, and on foggy mornings.
Road users who can detour around the works are asked to do so.
For those unable to avoid Hardinge St, traffic controllers are in place during work hours.
Additional assistance is available to wide and heavy load vehicles.
