Running from 9.30am to 1pm, the event will see half of the supermarket’s car park transformed, bringing together local emergency services, schools, businesses and community groups.
Cobram Ritchies IGA manager Mandy Hawke said the day centred around supporting the local CFA and SES, with both organisations benefiting from the event’s annual raffle.
With donated prizes from local businesses and suppliers, the groups spend the fortnight leading up to the event selling tickets and promoting the fundraiser.
“Over the past 12 years they have raised $73,450 which is used to go back into their organisations to buy much-needed equipment,” Mandy said.
Both groups will also be out in force on the day, showcasing their vehicles and equipment and giving families an opportunity to learn more about their work.

Local primary schools will also be involved, setting up stalls to raise funds, with Cobram Primary School serving cold drinks and snow cones.
“Ritchies provides a free jumping castle and face painter for the kids along with 600 show bags that suppliers have supplied stock for, that are given away to kids on the day,” Mandy said.
“A sound stage is set up with local performers and the Cobram Secondary College School bands, who always draw a good crowd.
“The costume characters are always a hit with the kids, with the continued support from my staff and the community, the day gets just that bigger and bigger each year.”
Families can also enjoy a range of food and refreshments, including a barbecue, fairy floss and fresh hot donuts from Ambience Bakery, while the Dutch Thunder wildlife display and roaming characters will provide further entertainment.
The morning will wrap up with the Monster Raffle draw, with Mandy acknowledging the suppliers whose generous donations helped make the event possible.
