Police beat: Woman threatened with knife

A man was allegedly wielding a knife and threatening people in Cobram on Wednesday, January 10.

Police said at about 9.50am an unknown male was heard knocking over garbage bins in Acacia St, Cobram.

A woman heard the commotion outside and went to investigate.

Police said the male was seen across the road from the victim’s house allegedly damaging a neighbouring letterbox.

The man saw the victim and allegedly came charging towards her with a knife, threatening to stab and burn her house down.

Police said the woman went inside her house and the man then allegedly smashed the rear window of her car.

Police said the same male allegedly chased another vehicle which was driving past with a knife around the time.

Bike stolen

Cobram detectives are investigating an alleged burglary and theft of a bicycle that occurred at a residential property on Campbell Rd, between January 5 and 8.
