Brianna Hodge and Kate Lebner have been friends for many years, but it was only last September that the duo discussed a venture where they could combine their fashion and business skills, form a partnership and open their own boutique.
Brianna formerly worked as a fashion buyer while Kate managed retail businesses in Bunbury, Western Australia, before making the move back home with her husband, Tim, and their three children for family reasons.
It has been a winning decision, as the support the two young mums have received locally for their stylish boutique in Punt Rd has been absolutely amazing since it opened on November 6.
Inland by Ledge caters for women aged 19 to 70 in sizes 6 to 16.
It carries many unique labels including Among the Brave, Juju & Co, Cere’s Life, Far Mer by Whitney, Georgia May and Mon Renn, to name a few.
Brianna and Kate certainly have an eye for quality, and understand the need to offer customers value for their money. First-time customers to the boutique will be hugely surprised with the colourful fashion range.
The girls have also added a range of well-designed tops, caps and hats bearing the Inland by Ledge logo, a great gift idea for a friend or family member.
If you are looking for a dressy number, a classic linen, something suitable for a special event or just looking to freshen up your casual wardrobe with the latest colours and designs, there is plenty to choose from, including skirts, shorts, pants, footwear and jewellery.
Offering an online store has generated a considerable number of orders mailed to different states around the country, including Hamilton Island. It continues to grow each week.
“Since we first thought of opening the business, it has been something of a whirlwind, Brianna said.
“We are passionate about what we are doing and absolutely thrilled to bits with the amazing support we have already received.
“We can’t thank the Cobram community enough. It is heartwarming, to say the least.”
The two young businesswomen live on farming properties with their families. Kate and husband Tim with their three children, Max, 19, Hayley, 14, and Alice, 11.
Brianna, meanwhile, is married to Eric and has two children, Remy, 4, and Violet just seven months old.
The two women have made a conscious decision to open seven days a week during busy periods, which they feel is often lacking in country towns, yet highly sought after by visitors and tourists, particularly during long weekends and the Easter period.
During these busy periods, they will also be assisted by Kiara Bruni.
If you haven’t yet popped by to check out Inland by Ledge, may I suggest you do. A shopping delight awaits.
