Those driving north of Greater Shepparton may have noticed bright green and dark blue signs as they leave the municipality.
Moira Shire has recently installed modern signs at council boundaries along main highways and smaller council roads.
Mayor Libro Mustica said the community has been calling for new contemporary signs to replace the tired and dated signage.
“These new signs build on the energy and impact of our logo and reinforce our vision of working together to be a vibrant and prosperous rural community,” he said.
“Considerable work has been done to ensure a cost effective production and installation process including working closely with VicRoads and other agencies to confirm site specific requirements.”
There are four entrance signs on shire entrances along the Murray Valley and Goulburn Valley highways plus another six smaller signs along roads, including the Katamatite-Shepparton Rd.
Cr Mustica said the next stage to this project will be the installation of town entrance signage.
“We will be notifying communities in coming months as the roll out of the installation process continues,” he said.
