Two new Early Learning Victoria centres will open in the Northern Victoria region from 2029, with one location confirmed in Seymour.
The two new centres will be located at Alexandra Primary School and the Seymour College Agricultural Campus.
The centres will together deliver more than 200 places for children, offering integrated kinder and long daycare programs.
State Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes said the announcement responded to local demand.
“Local families have been asking for more childcare places and Labor is delivering — saving parents time, cutting costs and giving children the best start,” Ms Symes said.
“Families can count on quality programs backed by free kinder at every centre — saving families up to $2700 per child.”
Victorian Minister for Children Lizzie Blandthorn said the government was focused on accessibility for regional families.
“We're delivering high-quality early education options, close to home, for families across regional Victoria,” Ms Blandthorn said.
