New aged-care facility under way in Numurkah

The facility will use a ‘household’ model of care, with shared common areas and private bedrooms and bathrooms.

The project is part of a wider $162 million investment into regional aged care from the Victorian Government called Better Aged Care for Regional Victorians, which is building two other facilities, in Cohuna and Maffra.

Earthworks have been completed and concrete slabs are being poured.

“This new facility will give older Victorians in Numurkah a modern, comfortable place to call home, while keeping them connected to the people and community they know,” state Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes said.
