There are two categories of funding available under this year's sponsorship scheme.
• Community Sponsorship - for community-driven projects that promote safety, participation and wellbeing.
• Education Sponsorship - for primary and secondary school activities that encourage student learning, development and wellbeing.
The company is inviting funding applications of up to $5000.
The Berrigan Netball Football Club (BNFC) was among last year's successful applicants, receiving funds to purchase an ice maker to support sports recovery, and help players manage injuries and heat-related issues during training and game days.
BNFC grants officer Kim Arnold said the machine is providing enormous benefits to local sporting clubs and, as an added bonus, to the broader community.
“The benefits extend well beyond sport," she said.
“The football netball club, the cricket club and the annual show committee make regular use of the ice machine during events that bring together families, volunteers and visitors from across the district.
“These organisations play a vital role in strengthening community spirit, encouraging social connection and promoting active healthy lifestyles.
“The support and sponsorship from companies like Murray Irrigation ensure the sustainability of these community organisations into the future."
