McPherson Media Group has announced a major acceleration of its expansion in digital media.
Later this month, the group will launch upgraded mobile apps across all its news mastheads including the Cobram Courier.
Developed in partnership with a leading international provider, these new apps will deliver a rich multimedia experience including original reporting, podcasts, text-to-audio playlists, interactive puzzles and replica e-editions.
The printed format and day of print for The Courier will not change.
“More than 80 per cent of our digital readers already consume our local journalism via their mobile phones,” said Ross McPherson, chairman of the family owned MMG.
“From late this month we’ll be giving them the best possible mobile experience.”
Details of the new products will be released closer to each launch.
